Blessings through a cell phone...

I don't like negotiating. My cell phone plan was expiring today, so I took time yesterday to mull over the options. There was the choice of sticking with my old company or moving to a new one. I am indecisive and can't make decisions quickly about things like this. It was helpful that my brother helped me by doing the negotiating and giving me the options.

After a few hours, I decided to stick with my old company. Even though they didn't offer the best plan I thought they could (I have been with them for 6 years), I still decided to stick with them.

When I arrived at the store to pick up my phone and finalize the details, I was pleasantly surprised. I had negotiated for free long distance minutes, since that's what I had on my old plan. Earlier in the day, the representative said the best she could do was offer me $5 for 100 long distance minutes, instead of $10 for 100. At the store, the representative said they changed it and decided to give me the long distance minutes for free!

I thought I would spend $35/month, but now, I will only spend $30. What's even better is that I got a pretty sweet phone for $0. It's Korean made and that made me proud, since I work with Korean students.

When I went home, I just praised God. He knew what I wanted and what I could afford. He gave me some freebies and I just felt like He was reminding me that if I follow Him faithful, He'll take care of the little details. I can say amen to that!
