Back in Canada...

It's surreal to think that I was away for a month on a Global Partnership to Central Asia. Halfway through my trip, I couldn't wait for it all to be done. Time was going by so quickly. Somehow, though, the days picked up and the next thing I knew, I was on the plane.

I will be posting thoughts over the next few weeks, I'm sure, about my experience from the last month. For now, I will just say that I learned some simple lessons while being away, mainly that God's Kingdom transcends cultures and countries.

I also learned a lot about partnership. We worked with the local InterVarsity movement and staff to further the ministry they were doing. Besides that, 8 Canadians, 3 Dutch, and 1 Brit came together to form one team trying to love students and intentionally live out the Gospel over the past month.

We spent the month studying in Colossians and it was really applicable to everything that we were experiencing in Central Asia. It was another reminder that God knew we needed before we arrived.

As I have said before, I am extremely grateful for the support you gave our team as we were away. We definitely felt your prayers throughout the month, especially in our times of tiredness. I also felt God's protection around us at all times and saw visible signs of His provision all around us.

There's more to come...
