God provides...

On the way home from Toronto, I picked up my housemate. She was so excited to tell me about our new house, that she thought it might be good to drop by and see if anyone was home so that she could show me instead.

It looked beautiful from the outside. When we were inside, it looked even more beautiful! The main floor is big. There is a living room and a dining room off the kitchen. And there is counterspace! We have been suffering from the lack of counterspace for the past 2 years.

The whole place looks newly renovated and it looks grown up. The washroom is beautiful and so are the bedrooms. The basement has a huge recreation room that be used to host students.

The only downside is the basement rooms. They are small, the ceiling is low and it feels gloomy. Hopefully, the new landlord will fix it up in the next 2 weeks. Otherwise, I'm going to have devise a plan so that it looks nice like the rest of the house, since my two male interns are living down there. I want them to have a good experience of living in Hamilton!

This is a huge blessing because while I was away in Central Asia, the housing issue definitely came to mind. I would want to e-mail my housemate and my supervisor about it, but I often forgot. Now I see why. I didn't need to worry. God had it worked out all along. I remember getting the e-mail on Monday, July 27, 2 days before coming home, about the new house and how it was perfect for us!

And now, after seeing it with my own eyes, I agree. It is the house we needed and God knew that. I will miss my faithful house on Dalewood Avenue, but I am ready to move into this new house for the next year.
