The end of the first week...

This week has gone by quickly, but it also feels like 3 weeks of events, meetings, and activities happened in the past 7 days. Where time went, I'm not really sure, but it has been a memorable week.

It was the start of school this week and to be honest, I was looking forward to it. Maybe it's because I am not a student anymore, but I wanted structure and routine in my life again. (I have been travelling a lot this summer.) I also wanted to see my students and be involved on a week to week basis, rather than a month to month basis.

Our leadership team gathered together on Tuesday to finalize details and set some vision for this opening week. Wednesday was Clubsfest, where we had a table outside the student centre and gave out information about KCF. Thursday was our kick-off BBQ. Friday was filled with meetings, including a planning retreat meeting.

It has been a great week of meeting new students and I heard a couple of students voice their intention in figuring out how their faith is a part of their lives. This is exciting to me, because these are the people who are asking questions and want to understand more of what it means to follow God and His Kingdom.

So that is my prayer at the end of this week, that God would be stirring in everyone we met. I pray that university would not only be a time of fun and school, but that it would be a place and a part of their lives where they questioned their beliefs and their values. It is my hope that all of these students would come to know and experience Jesus in a deep way this year.
