The past weekend, 30 MacKCF, MacVCF, and Laurier-Brantford students attended a winter retreat. It was the first time that these three group came together and it was a lot of fun.
I was reminded of something really important. When you believe in something, you don't just say you believe (insert cheesy Olympic commercials asking us if we believe in our athletes), but you go for it, with all of yourself. If you are passionate about something, you go for it with all you have, even if it costs you your whole life.
And that's what the Kingdom is to me. I want it so much that I am willing to sacrifice everything for it, even my life. And that is why I go for it with passion, with all that I have, because I want to be a part of it.
That's the goal I have for my students, and actually, my donors, alike. If we say we believe in the Gospel, if we believe that God's Kingdom is Good News, then we need to go for it, with no strings attached. We need go for it like it cost us everything, because it really does.
Before we can do that, though, we need to evaluate if it's worth it. If the Kingdom is worth it, we will have no problems taking risks to make it happen.
So if you believe that the Kingdom is worth it, I would encourage you to take the next step and actually act on it. Words and actions go hand in hand.
