Vacation is over. It's time to get back to work. And I have gone back to work!
It has been so good to see my students again, those who are leading the Korean Christian Fellowship (KCF) ministry at McMaster. I was so excited to hear their stories from city/script, the weeklong conference where they studied the first half of Mark, and May Conference, where KCF students from all over Ontario came together for leadership training.
It has been fun to share stories with them about what I learned and experienced in Bangladesh. And they seem inspired, which is awesome, because I am inspired when I share the stories with them.
I am so excited to work with them because they are full of vision and eager to take risks. This is important because this year will be full of risks. When I was praying during our Bangladesh debrief, I felt God telling me to pray that 10 non-believers would come and study Scripture with us this year. I thought He was crazy, but I remembered how God had answered some crazy prayers that He had asked me to pray in Bangladesh.
I have been sharing this story with my new student leaders and they are not shocked or surprised. They either tell me that they are excited for this challenge or immediately have people who come to mind that they need to ask to study Scripture with them.
As I think more about this goal, I am led to prayer. I know that my students and I cannot do this on our own. It can only be accomplished through God, and so, we will go to Him!
